As of today the first half Nintendo 3DS Ambassador free games have been released via the Nintendo 3DS eShop. If you purchased the 3DS and connected your console to the eShop before the price drop you’ve earned Ambassador status. Basically that means you get these aforementioned free games. Sure, this first batch are all just NES games that everyone has played, but still, free games.
If you wanna download these games, assuming you are an ambassador, you gotta follow some steps to get them.
First of all, boot up your 3DS system, obviously. Next, tap the eShop icon(pictured to the right
) in the main menu to enter the eShop.
After the eShop has loaded up, scroll all the way over to the left and select ”Settings/Other”. Alternatively, you can tap “Menu” then tap “Settings/Other” from there.

Once you’re in the settings menu, scroll down and select “Your Downloads”. Once you’re in here scroll
down and find the games, if you’re a Nintendo 3DS Ambassador they will have been flagged as purchased in your account and you will be able to “redownload” them individually.
You will also be able to download the Ambassador Certificate the same way. This certificate is not only something you can show off to friends, but also allows you to, if you want, get spotpass notifications about the remaining Ambassador games.
For more information on the Ambassador Program or to find out if your console is eligible for the Ambassador games, you can check out Nintendo’s support website linked at the bottom of this article.
